Please save the date: The Parish Caring Council will host a Second Hour on Parish Caring Sunday (October 16) with a showing of a DVD entitled "To Whom I May Concern". This DVD captures the stories of people with early-stage Alzheimer's and educates the care partners and care providers about the inside experience of what it's like to live with Alzheimer's Disease or any other illnesses that cause memory loss and confusion. Following the showing will be a discussion facilitated by Maureen Matthews, PhD, RN, and member of the First Congregational Church of Stamford. We hope that you will save the date and stay tuned in the next issue of the Edge for additional information about this program.
Alternative Contact Information: Our church directory is being revised to include email and cell phone numbers (if provided). Please consider providing these alternative modes of communication for the next directory, as it can be helpful. In terms of Parish Caring, it is extremely beneficial to have alternative ways to reach out to see if we can better serve the needs of our church members, especially in an emergency.
Hospitalizations: If you or a loved one are scheduled for surgery or are suddenly hospitalized, please contact the church office or let your family members know they should contact the church. This allows the pastors and Parish Caring Ministries team to offer help and support during your hospitalization and convalescence.
