On March 12, 2020, we made the difficult decision to suspend in-person worship services indefinitely. Although we can no longer meet in person, there are still a great many opportunities in connect with one another online.
Online worship is held at 10 a.m. every Sunday on our Facebook page. Please note, you do not need to have a Facebook account to view the service. The bulletin is shared on Facebook and sent via email on Saturday morning. To sign up to receive emails from First Church, click HERE. We have made an instructional video on the best way to access our livestream services which you can check out HERE.
If you wish to submit a prayer request which will be read out during the service, you can email Pastor Nicole at firstname.lastname@example.org
Virtual Meet Ups
All are invited to join us for the following online gatherings:
Virtual Coffee Hour with Pastor Nicole every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Online Pub Theology with Pastor Adrienne every Wednesday at 8 p.m.
For details on how to join, sign up for our emails or reach out to our communications manager, Rose at email@example.com.
Staying in Touch
The best way to stay up to date with what's going on at FCW is to follow us on Facebook and to regularly check out our weekly emails. We continue to send our monthly newsletter, the Edge, via mail and email. While our office is closed, you can reach us by calling (860) 688-7229 - our Administrative Assistant, Kathy, will be delighted to answer any questions you may have. Kathy can also be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Members and friends can continue to pledge via mail or ACH transfer. Alternatively, you may also give online by clicking HERE. If you need some help with online giving, check out THIS VIDEO for more information.
Helping Our Community
Our COVID-19 Caring Response Team, a part of our Parish Caring Ministry, has really stepped up! Volunteers have been making calls to families/individuals to check in on everyone, have made soup to deliver to members who are ill, and have picked up groceries and medication for those who cannot leave their homes. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers!
