Weston Priory Retreat - May 2008

About 130 miles north on Rt. 91, some distance west of exit 6, among the picturesque hills, pastures, valleys, streams and beaver ponds of Weston, Vermont is The Benedictine Monks of Weston Priory’s retreat facilities. There a number of First Church members were welcomed with extraordinary hospitality for their first interfaith retreat.

The experience was restful, nourishing and reflective. The time helped attendees get to know each other, find space where God could enter our lives through silence, rituals, creative music and beauty of the Abby and its grounds.
We spent four days in this setting. We are renewed. We were more aware of the joys and challenges in our lives, but also returned with more of the Christ spirit within us. Until the next time, we are left the photographs reminding us of the beauty, silence and solitude of the place where we retreated together.
